Wow. What a few days we have had. Thank you for your patience and kindness over the week so far. We have loved meeting everyone so far and looking forward to meeting everyone else. The time has come. The first day in the Birdcage for us. We would lovetowelcome you all. We are having our opening party on Saturday please come along and celebrate with Steve and Claire with the music by The Gun runners from 8pm

As I switch off the lights and lock the doors one final time I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. My time at The Birdcage wouldn't have been the same without you. Whilst I'm sad to be leaving The Birdcage I'm excited about what's to come down at The Blue Anchor. I wish Claire and Steve all the best and hope that they enjoy The Birdcage as much as I have done .... Just now I get to enjoy it all the more from the 'right' side of the bar! Today marks the end of Stevie’s time at The Birdcage, and tomorrow Steve and Claire will be opening the doors as the next chapter begins. We’d like to thank Stevie for all of her hard work and dedication over the years, and we wish her all the very best in her new adventure at The Blue. While we may be new faces, the staff team will be staying the same, so you’ll still see the familiar people you know and love. We’re really looking forward to meeting you all at The Birdcage and sharing what’s ahead. We’ve got lots of exciting plans in the works, so stay tuned for more updates!

This weekend is stacked from start to finish with huge clashes 🤺🎭 Saturday kicks off in style at 12:30pm as Liverpool take on Chelsea. Can it bring the same drama as this fixture did in the 2000s 👀 Then at 5:30pm, Manchester City host Brentford with the title race heating up. City know there’s no room for slip ups at this stage Sunday doesn’t ease up either. At 12pm it’s the Old Firm derby as Celtic face Rangers in a massive showdown with the title still up for grabs alongside Hearts. Expect fireworks in this one 🍀💙 The Prem returns at 2pm with Forest hosting Newcastle, before a huge 4:30pm clash as the Hammers take on Arsenal. It’s desperation versus ambition as the relegation battle meets the title race. There’s also EFL playoff drama and Gallagher Prem rugby across the weekend, so there’s no shortage of action.🍻

After an incredible run, my time at The Birdcage is coming to an end… and what better way to sign off than one last big weekend 🍻 The weekend after Pirates, I’ll be behind the bar (or on the other side of it😜) for the final time — so we’re making a proper party of it. 🎉 Leaving Party – Saturday 9th May 🎉 Expect great music, good vibes, and a shit tonne of drinks If you’ve ever popped in for a pint, a party, or a late one, it’d be great to see you there and send things off in style!
